The third highest ranking general of the Delphion Union's expeditionary force, the Blue Hawk Knights. She is the commanding general at the 13th battle of Ustone valley and takes custody of Eutre, Judar and the rest of the surviving Belgarard forces when the fort is surrendered. Upon hearing Judar is responsible for the death of her second-in-command, she takes an interest in him and makes several attempts to recruit him as her new second-in-command after he is sold to slavery. Because Judar despises the constraints imposed by membership of a knightly order and has never forgotten Dulphia's role in bringing him to Grasesta in the first place, she is rebuffed each time.
Originally a noble from the Delphion Union, she rebelled against the stereotypical lifestyle demanded of her and joined the Blue Hawk Knights initially as a clerical officer. She enjoys the battlefield as it excites her with the equality of opportunity and death that it brings. Her lust for the battlefield gives her something in common with the lifelong mercenary Judar, something he eventually acknowledges.
Dulphia is good friends with Lilica long before the start of the tale and she is the trigger which leads Lilica to test Judar's ability to survive the harshest environs after hearing of his exploits in the Ustone valley.
After the loss of the two highest ranking Knightly order generals and many of the Order's member over the course of the story, Dulphia is eventually promoted to head of the Order and presides as the head of the King's guard of honour at his coronation ceremony. /

A centurion in the Belgerard army under Zaur's nominal command, he hires Judar to fight in the 13th Ustone Valley battle. A schemer who excels at disrupting enemy supply lines, his operation to burn the supplies of the invading Delphion army is a success thanks to Judar's heroics. Unfortunately Zaur's cowardice loses the battle before the lack of supplies can force the lifting of the siege. Nonetheless Eutre manages to negotiate with Dulphia; in exchange for sparing the lives of himself, Judar and the soldiers under his direct command he consents to all of them being sold as slave soldiers to Grasesta.
Eutre does not join Judar initially. He spends time learning about his new environs and searches for a way to earn enough currency to raise himself and everyone else who came with him to free citizen status. Because the funds required are so overwhelmingly large, he pledges false fealty to King Salo and his trusted minister in exchange for performing clandestine missions at the king's behest. His efficiency at achieving results eventually wins him and his former subordinates free citizen status, although some of his underlings lose their lives in the meantime.
Eutre is the finalist of the Artisans tournament and offers Judar to throw the match in exchange for material reward equivalent to the champion prize money. If Eutre wins, he later offers Judar a mission which gives more background information on the diplomacy and politics of Grasesta relative to its neighbours.
Late in the tale, Eutre eventually betrays Lilica and Judar by attempting to steal the secrets of the Rinshi research and fleeing Grasesta. With the research he hoped to win back the favour of the Belgerard king and return to military service at his homeland together with his comrades. If Judar overcomes the betrayal and the royal forces who were aware of Eutre's betrayal, he is forced to fight alongside Judar for the duration until Lilica and Judar figure out a suitable punishment.
Eutre and his comrades are eventually exiled from Grasesta by the time of the coronation ceremony and are last seen escorting Kashram's merchant caravan. /

The head of household of the Rcitine noble family. Lilica is searching for a capable warrior who can protect her in her expeditions to the Black Pit to uncover the cause behind her curse. Upon Dulphia's recommendation, she seeks to test Judar and asks him to participate in the battle to repel the "Disaster" to prove his worthiness. Her favourite hobby is walking, but her abysmal sense of direction means she almost certainly gets lost despite being born and raised in Grasesta.
When she was young, her parents took her along to the Black Pit on one of their inspection tours. It was at this time she encountered a monster which reputedly killed her parents and almost killed her but for the valiant efforts of her household bodyguard. Although she was the only survivor of the attack, she was left at death's door and her soul could not be bound to her body. Only the efforts of the Goetia interception guild's leader Legi saved her life by binding her soul to a doll. It is in her doll form that Lilica spends most of her days engaged in researching the cause of her curse in hopes that she can restore herself back to normal. Only on days of the full moon will her soul return to her human body.
A devout disciple of the moon goddess Lyucien, her faith is later discovered to be one reason why she survived the attack in the Black Pit and why the Rinshi are vulnerable to her magic attacks.
Although her doll form is surprisingly durable, her human body must be kept safe in an underground room of her mansion to prevent malevolent spirits from possessing it. In addition, Lilica has a phobia of phantoms stemming from their uncanny ability to suddenly materialise.
Lilica eventually falls in love with Judar after fighting together with him and learning about his origins. She eventually grows strong enough for him to acknowledge her as an equal partner. She in turn promises that he will not die alone and that she will be alongside him if he were to fall in battle.
At the end of the tale, Lilica serves as Judar's most trusted adviser in her human form and as his queen consort. Despite Mao's protestations, she seeks to find a way to join Judar in expeditions having lost the ability to fight when not in her doll form. /

A mercenary hailing from the Bergarard kingdom, he is recruited by Eutre to assist during the 13th battle of the Ustorn valley at the start of the tale. A descendant of the "Rovalie" tribe of warriors, he has inhuman strength and unparalleled night vision and is marked by the striking tattoos which cover much of his body. When Bergarard loses the battle, he is saved from execution when Eutre negotiates the survival of himself and the rest of Eutre's forces by being sold as slaves to the city of Grasesta.
The Rovalie tribe of warriors was feared for their war exploits, but the tribe was persecuted and subject to prejudice after it was assimilated by the Bergerard kingdom. When Judar was young, his parents abandoned him in a village which was originally thought to be a safe haven. This abandonment left a deep impression on Judar; it forced him to survive through the strength of his arm and instilled in him an unshakeable belief in keeping his word even if others should break theirs.
After he, Eutre and the rest of the prisoners of war arrive at Grasesta, he is tricked into entering a valley which is a frequent site for the manifestation of the "disaster" which heralds an invasion of demons. He accidentally wanders into the "disaster" zone and is forced to flee. It is here he has his first encounter with the great Demon Fleurety. She is later responsible for transplanting a piece of the Demon Sovereign's flesh into his body, which almost leads to his execution but for Lilica's intervention.
As part of his deal with Lilica, he acts as her bodyguard as she attempts to find a cure for her condition by searching the deepest corners of the Black Pit for the monster which was the cause.
If he chooses to remain in Grasesta after buying his freedom with the proceeds of the artisans' tournament, he eventually duels King Salo and wins the throne, earning him the title of "Judar Schwarka Grasesta the 28th." /

A descendant of a heralded lineage of magicians, a botched summoning led to a curse being cast on Micri. Every time she attempts to sleep, the curse will physically prevent her from doing so (usually by random objects physically colliding with her as she dozes off). As a result of the curse, she can only sleep fitfully and has heavy bags under her eyes which others mistake at first glance to be a baleful stare.
Micri journeys to Grasesta to register as an adventurer. The demon responsible for her curse, Metsekhmat, was once bound to the service of the Demon Sovereign Rikshima. Micri hopes to learn more about what happened to the demon in hopes of lifting the curse which afflicts her.
Judar quickly identifies the reason behind Micri's inability to sleep and partially solves the problem by acting as a living shield deflecting anything hurled at Micri to disrupt her sleep.
A chance discovery in the abandoned laboratory leads to Lilica finding a coffin which has the power to nullify Micri's curse while she sleeps in it. Micri in turn through a series of unfortunate events eventually finds out the cause of her curse as well as the tribe of incubi who were Metsekhmat's followers. She pretends to be Metsekhmat's incarnation when the incubi hail her as their queen, and is later forced to fight Judar and his party when they turn up to rescue her at the incubi tribe.
Although Metsekhmat essence was destroyed, it formed a "Disaster" portal of its own and Micri chooses to enter it when Iuset detects it later in the story. Inside the portal part of Metsekhmat's soul eventually succeeds in possessing Micri, forcing Judar and his party to fight Micri. Upon victory, Metsekhmat is destroyed but her essence and powers become Micri's to control. She then assumes the role of incubi queen but returns to Judar's party to repay them for the help they gave her to break her curse.
By the end of the story she has returned to rule over Iuset and the other incubi and is to all intents and purposes a member of demonkind herself. She does attend the coronation ceremony as a VIP. /

A free citizen born and raised in Grasesta, she is always working on new weapons and armour to assist adventurers in their dungeon expeditions. Unfortunately her lack of experience results in many of her creations being dangerous failures. After her first encounter with Judar, she presses him to help test out her new inventions (which have many unfortunate problems preventing them from being practical in the field). After the field tests, Rosalind volunteers to join the ranks of the Black Pit expeditions and is only allowed to do so by Sheliela provided she is a member of Judar's party.
Originally from a noble dwarf family, she struck out independently and became a blacksmith. The strap-on ears she wears imbue her with the confidence to work at her trade and improve herself (as well as giving her a stereotypical Osakan accent), but if they are removed she becomes meek, timid and introverted. Lilica remembers seeing her from a high society function, but Rosalind laughs it off even though the former was telling the truth.
Rosalind's strap-on ears hide a long-hidden secret regarding the origins of her dwarf clan. With Judar's help Rosalind eventually confronts the Majin responsible for conquering the ancestral home of her people and exiling her ancestors to Grasesta. Using her intuition, she unearths the weapon forged to kill the Majin and with its help eventually slays him. After the adventure Rosalind discovers she is descended from the royal line of Nebul dwarfs and had the bloodline required to unlock the secrets behind her strap-on ears and the eventual restoration of her ancestor's kindom. /

The head of the Rcitine mansion's domestic staff, Mao has served as a surrogate elder sister to Lilica ever since the incident which devastated the household. In addition to running the household, Mao is responsible for protecting Lilica's human body in the mansion. She takes a marked dislike to Judar when they first meet and is capable of dishing out vitriolic verbal abuse with no change in facial expression.
In addition to protecting Lilica, Mao also guards the Rcitine family secrets relating to the Rinshi research. Lilica's father entrusted Mao with the care of his daughter, which Mao takes great pride in as she was taken in as an orphan by the Rcitine family and serves them with unshakeable loyalty in gratitude for their deed. She was however unaware of the true nature behind the incident which left Lilica in her current state and is forgiven by Lilica after her confession. /

An ancient Majin who served the Demon Sovereign Rikshima, she is the master of the "Disaster" phenomenon which regularly invades Grasesta at the start of the tale. She has command over the powers of ice and hail, all who enter her "Disaster" either freeze to death or are killed by the monsters which inhabit within. Capricious and sadistic, she possesses immense power but is bored easily and can abandon the task at hand at will.
She first encounters Judar in the valley next to the slave pit. As he is one of the rare few to survive an encounter with her, she is pleased to meet him a second time when she attempts to destroy a prison which she believes houses the body of her fallen sire. On a whim, she implants a part of Rikshima's flesh into Judar, promising that if he masters the implant he will become stronger than he already is, in addition to becoming something other than human.
Fleurety is initially working together with the organization behind the Unidentified Living Organisms (不命体) in exchange for information on the whereabouts of her liege's body. She then joins Judar's party when they reach an agreement whereby Lilica and Judar will attempt to find the truth behind Rikshima's fate while she tags along to oversee their progress.
Fleurety is absolutely devoted to her former liege and has devoted everything to resurrecting Rikshima. She has no camaraderie with other demon kind and will happily kill anything, human or demon, which stands in her way. She treats Judar as a toy and gains satisfaction from baiting him when she joins the party.
At the end of the tale, Fleurety continues her pact with Judar and promises not to attack Grasesta for as long as he lives. Judar for his part does not trust her because of her capriciousness and promises to kill her should she change her mind and resume her attacks on the city. /

The proprietor of the "Enfukurou" brothel in the entertainment district in West Grasesta, the half-elf half-succubus has worked her way up the ranks and her business has flourished under her astute management.
Lucilla is well aware of the importance of her establishment in keeping the peace between the slave warriors as they are given a means of spending their currency to satisfy their sexual desires. Ladies who are not suited for combat can also find a decent living under her establishment.
Lucilla remembers living conditions prior to Legi's reforms and is thankful the situation when Judar arrives is less oppressive than it used to be. When Legi makes his move, she is conflicted as she understands why many would want to join the ranks of the Rinshi while others like herself reject their advances.
Lucilla welcomes any and all applicants to her business regardless of whether they are angel, harpy or demon. She will happily purchase workers from willing traders, as a reward the trader is given the privilege of spending the first night with her new worker at no additional charge. /

A demon summoned as a familiar to a formidable sentient aspect, she demands Judar give one of the demon stones in his possession to her. Whimsical and with a speech pattern akin to a scatter-brained high school student, she nonetheless has considerable combat prowess should Judar refuse her demands.
If Judar gives in to her demands and gives her a demon stone on both occasions they meet with each other, she is gifted to him by the sentient spirit and can be sold to Lucilla's brothel. If Judar refuses and he defeats her in combat, she is also sold to Lucilla's brothel. /

A seventh-ranked Angel who was created by one of the Gods of the Old Pantheon, she is discovered when the travelling merchant Kashram explores a ruin on his way to Grasesta. As a "renegade angel" who has lost her master, she follows Kashram to Grasesta where she is promptly presented as a gift to King Salo. Salo in turn relinquishes his right of ownership over her and uses her as a bonus prize for the winner of the upcoming Artisans tournament, which causes a considerable amount of distress to her.
If Judar wins the tournament, he becomes Eureshya's new master. She is originally hostile to him at the start, but she also discovers her powers of healing have been negatively impacted by her long dormancy. Eureshya eventually discovers that her creator, having lost in the Great War of the Gods in ages past and was destroyed, also robbed her of the main source of divine power which fuelled her healing spells.
If Judar loses patience with Eureshya's botched healing spells, he can turn her over to Lucille's brothel where she spends the rest of her days as a prostitute. If he does not, he finds a location in the Black Pit where Eureshya can make a new contract with the Moon Goddess Lyucien, which restores her healing abilities back to normal and convinces her to pledge her allegiance to him as his "Guardian Angel".
Eureshya is the main focus of the AP01 storyline as Angels from Eushully's other games make a bid to supplant her as Judar's guardian angel. /

A slave warrior of the lowest rank whom Judar meets shortly after he arrives in Grasesta. Very friendly and willing to help Judar acclimatise to his new surroundings, she is nonetheless one of the few warriors skilled enough to participate in the "Disaster" invasions despite her low rank.
Her looks and figure make her popular as a team mate for expeditions, but she is frequently the subject of sexual harassment from male team members.
Peyro warns Judar not to involve himself with Ekthel, while Sheliela tells Judar that many of Ekthel's team mates who make unwanted sexual advances towards her die in the dungeons or wilderness, with Ekthel frequently making her way back alone to Grasesta.
Ekthel was born with an insatiable bloodlust, one which she can only sate in battle and which alienated her elven brethren so much she was forced into self-imposed exile. Soon after she arrived at Grasesta and found the perfect place to sate her desires.
Ekthel enjoys the feeling of ecstasy when she kills men who are engaged in sexual intercourse with her. She uses her provocative appearance to entice males to try to rape her and then kills them when they are vulnerable. She later returns to Grasesta and makes the kills appear as deaths attributed to monsters. However she has a policy of not killing any male who doesn't make a pass on her, which gradually makes her obsessed with Judar who is not only strong but never falls for her charms.
Judar for his part has seen all kinds of individuals in his mercenary career and is not prejudiced towards others regardless of their kinky preferences provided they are not a direct threat to him. Although he does not make a pass at Ekthel, he eventually realises why she is so notorious and allows her to relieve her "frustrations" with him while he pretends to be asleep. /

An inhabitant of the eastern part of Grasesta, Altelyla is the madame of the high-class brothel in East Grasesta. She first sees Judar when he is led in chains into the western part of the city.
Altelyla is initially a patron of one of Dulphia's underlings, but his loss to Judar in the Artisans tournament piques her interest in Judar. She eventually befriends Judar and Lilica and helps them out through her influential network of contacts in the Grasestan elite.
Altelyla has knowledge of significant individuals outside Grasesta and involves Judar in a slave auction involving Zaur's wife and daughter. If Judar buys the pair at the auction, she arranges for them to work at her brothel as prostitutes.
When asked by Judar why she gives him so many favours, she replies she rates him highly for his strength in combat and believes the city of Grasesta is impacted when Judar makes a significant move in the Black Pit or in events around the city. /

An itinerant battlemage hailing from the southwest Erinne sorceror's guild, she quickly attains the middle slave warrior rank from her formidable magical prowess. However she is fond of actions which break the city rules such as private duels and deceiving other slave warriors with scams. Extremely hot-tempered but with the skills to back up her words, she is always looking for the next battle when she's not enjoying her food, drink and exotic dancing in the tavern.
When she was still a junior mage, she was gang-raped by ruffians. The experience taught her that in addition to magic she needed muscle to back up her magic. After intense physical training she got her revenge against her rapists and shortly after left her sorceror's guild before arriving at Grasesta.
Although "only" a middle-rank slave soldier, she is one of the few Grasesta warriors who sees the arrival of the "disaster" as an opportunity to make money, unlike the vast majority of "disaster" conscripts who lose their lives during the invasion.
Loves baths and will not hesitate to enjoy one after a hard day's adventuring. /

An easy-going Demon fox (鬼狐族) who comes to Grasesta looking for an opportunity to strike it rich. Her tribe is renowned for its unnatural strength, which Yunagi exploits by wielding an umbrella equipped with a katana as the handle. Her strength and skills quickly earn her the status of free citizen and she is a regular participant when the "Disaster" attacks Grasesta. Although she earns much from dangerous expeditions, she blows all of her money on gambling leaving her perennially poor.
Females from the Demon Fox tribe are trained to use umbrellas both as weapons and as a tool to ride air currents to move easily from one elevation to another. The clan does not have a custom of wearing underwear either.
Yunagi was brought up in the arts of self defence but also the expectation that she marry and have lots of babies. As she was bored with stereotypical constraints, she left her village and came to Grasesta. She loves money and having fun at the same time.
Because Demon foxes are extremely fecund and have a 100% chance of impregnation during unprotected sex, Yunagi insists Judar use a condom made of strengthened fish skin when she propositions him for sex in return for living expenses.
Yunagi's penchant for gambling and losing her living expenses eventually lead her to participate in an illegal underground arena run by the corrupt priest of Ylliun Johannes. Judar learns of this from Eutre (who has ratted on Yunagi and hopes to cash in when the arena is raided) and goes to save her. If they win the battle against the arena beast, Yunagi has unprotected sex with Judar and pledges to repay him for the debt she owes him by living in his house and cooking his meals as a permanent party member. /

Sheriela had been turned into a Rinshi by Legi long before Judar's arrival in Grasesta. She believes in Legi's cause but only makes a move when Judar and his party get too close to the truth behind the Rinshi laboratory. It is Sheriela who transforms Commander Adler and his second in command into Rinshi when Dulphia is away with Judar, precipitating the Blue Hawk rebellion as transformed members attempt to convert the rest of the Grasesta into Rinshi.
When Sheriela transforms at the top of the tower but is defeated by Judar and his party, her disintegrating body is absorbed by Legi allowing him to acquire a resistance to the Rinshi's fatal weakness against the moon goddess's powers. When Legi is finally defeated, her soul is also set free along with the others trapped in Legi's god form. /

Lilica Rcitine in her Remote Doll form (魔導操殻). In this form she is small enough to ride on Judar's shoulder when in the Black Pit. With the exception of days when the full moon is in the sky, Lilica spends her days in this form performing research for the guild and other duties.
The technology for Lilica's doll was partly derived from the now-lost technology of Madou Koukaku several centuries before. Although the wielder has considerable control over the frame, it requires a power source and has the same clumsiness shared with golems.
