主人公新田剣丞从现代穿越到了战国乱世的中心，那是一个名为“日之本”的地方，鬼怪横行。

在那里，他遇见了以推行天下布武为目标的织田信长等众多著名英雄。在经历了恋爱、战斗并加深了与伙伴们的羁绊后，他参与了一场场席卷整个列岛的战役。

剣丞在战友的死亡中磨练出坚强的意志和觉悟，为了创造没有鬼怪的和平世界，他和伙伴们组建了“日之本联合”。
